Team up with Tacoma officials and conservation experts to maintain the Wapato Hills Open Space through planting care, invasive species removal, and mulching. Your efforts enhance water purity, wildlife habitats, pollinator support, and community wellbeing.
Everyone is invited—no prior skills needed! We supply training, protective gloves, necessary equipment, and refreshments.

Youth Guidelines: Minors require parental consent and a signed waiver. Children aged 15 and below must be supervised by an adult.
Essential items to bring for safety and enjoyment:
- Attire prone to staining
- Long-sleeved tops and durable trousers
- Closed-toe footwear (no open-toed or flat shoes)
- Waterproof outerwear plus layered clothing for variable weather
- Reusable water container
