How to Participate in Hearings

Residents are encouraged to note that recent changes regarding COVID-19 restrictions mean more opportunities for in-person attendance at public sessions. The Hearing Examiner’s Office will host hearings featuring community input on topics such as zoning changes, road adjustments, and neighborhood enhancements. Unless otherwise posted, meetings will take place at the City Council Chambers inside the Tacoma Municipal Building, situated at 747 Market Street.

To broaden participation, each session offers both physical and virtual attendance options through Zoom. Detailed instructions for joining online are available here.

For hearings involving public comments, attendees may submit written statements ahead of time or join remotely using the Zoom application. A computer, smartphone, or tablet with the Zoom application installed is required. The office can be reached at:
