E-Bike Rebate Program
Organizer: WSDOT
Pre-registration Required? Yes, to qualify for instant rebate consideration.
Event Description: Kick off Bike Month by applying for a Washington state e-bike rebate. Eligible residents aged 16 and above can receive rebates up to $1,200 based on household income. Applications open March 30, 2026, with random selection starting April 13th.
Important Details: Not first-come, first-served. Reapply if you missed the 2026 pilot round.

15th Annual Bike Swap

Cost: Free
Join the 15th Annual Pierce County Bike Swap for a free, family-friendly swap of gently used bikes and parts. Bring a helmet and be ready for fun for all ages!

City of Tacoma Bike Month Proclamation
Attend the official proclamation ceremony at City Hall with Tacoma Mayor Ibsen and City Council. The proclamation celebrates biking’s role in community health, safety, and Vision Zero goals.

National Bike & Roll to School Day (May 6, 2026)

Slow and Sweaty Bike Ride with 2nd Cycle (May 14, 2026)
Group ride starting at 2nd Cycle, covering about five miles. All ages welcome—perfect for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Free and open to the public.

Destiny Dozen 2026 (May 16, 2026)
Fundraising ride circling 40 miles around Tacoma, tackling 12 challenging hills and over 4,000 feet of elevation. Supports Tacoma’s community bike shop. Register by April 15 for early-bird pricing.

Bike Everywhere Day (May 17, 2026)
Community celebration at Peoples Park with freebies, safety gear demos, scavenger hunts, and bike tune-ups. No registration needed—just come out and ride!

Bike to the Broadway Farmers Market (May 21, 2026)

Tweed Ride with 2nd Cycle (May 30, 2026)
