City of Tacoma administrative facilities will be non-operational on January 19 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.

During this period, the Tacoma Recovery and Transfer Center (3510 S. Mullen St.) maintains its standard operating hours of 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM on January 19, with no disruptions to waste management services including trash, recycling, and organic waste collection.

All branches of the Tacoma Public Library system will be temporarily shut down on January 17.

City personnel will suspend parking enforcement activities throughout January 19.
